Watch: Herschel Walker calls Barack Obama a 'celebrity' when asked why Donald Trump is MIA

Republican United States Senate candidate Herschel Walker of Georgia is unable to explain why ex-President Donald Trump is nowhere to be found ahead of next week's runoff election against incumbent Democratic Senator and Baptist minister Raphael Warnock.
Warnock and Walker faced off in the November 8th midterms. Although 37,465 more ballots were cast for Warnock, neither he nor Walker earned fifty percent of the overall vote, triggering an automatic runoff on Tuesday, December 6th. Warnock has had former President Barack Obama stumping for him in the final stretch. Failed reality television star Trump, whose early endorsement of Walker catapulted him to victory in the GOP primary, has been noticeably absent from the race.
As was noted in The New YorkTimes on Monday, "Trump is planning a call with supporters in the state and will continue sending online fund-raising pleas."
On Tuesday evening's edition of The Ingraham Angle, Fox News host Laura Ingraham asked Walker for his opinion:
Herschel, why is it that President Trump is not coming to have a rally in this last week before the final Election Day? And meanwhile, you got Obama campaigning with Warnock.
Erstwhile National Football League player Walker's non-answer contained a peculiar deflection:
You know, President Trump, he's always been in my corner. He still is in my corner. And he's been doing other things for me, and everyone has been doing a lot of things for me. Tonight we just got out of a fundraiser with Governor [Brian] Kemp, with a lot of other people that was at the fundraiser, and you know, President Trump is doing just as much for me.
And I think right now, the left is trying to highlight with President Obama coming down. But, you know, one of the things that they gotta remember: President Obama is a celebrity, and that seems to be where Raphael Warnock is getting his money from. Celebrities. But he's not gonna win this race. I told people before. He may outraise me in money, but he, I guarantee he won't get more votes than I'm gonna get.
