'He's all talk': Nancy Pelosi says Donald Trump 'wouldn't have had the courage' to join Capitol siege

MSNBC anchor Andrea Mitchell probed House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-California) on Tuesday over comments she made about former President Donald Trump while she and members of Congress were huddled away during the January 6th, 2021 insurrection at the United States Capitol.
Video emerged last week of Pelosi stating that she would "punch out" Trump if he had followed through with leading his supporters in their deadly siege.
Mitchell wanted to know if Pelosi meant it.
"On the day of the riot, you said that if he led the rioters and came up to the Hill you would have punched him out," Mitchell recalled.
"That's right. I don't even like to talk about him because it's really a tragedy for our country," Pelosi responded.
"But you did say you would’ve punched him out," said Mitchell.
"I said I would’ve punched him out, I would’ve gone to jail, and I would’ve been happy to do so for our country," Pelosi confirmed.
"Would you have done it?" Mitchell inquired.
Trump "wouldn't have had the courage to come to the Hill," Pelosi replied. "He's all talk."
