'It’s a cult': Mike Huckabee mocked and ridiculed unmercifully for his goofy 'Kids Guide to President Trump'

Donald Trump went down in history as the first U.S. president to be impeached twice, inspiring Watergate-era veterans such as journalist author Carl Bernstein and former Watergate prosecutor Jill Wine-Banks to say that he was more corrupt, dangerously authoritarian and divisive than President Richard Nixon ever thought of being. Regardless, much of the Republican Party continues to defend Trump vigorously, including former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee — who is being mocked and ridiculed for his buffoonish “The Kid’s Guide to President Trump.”
As its title suggests, “The Kid’s Guide to President Trump” is a pro-Trump children’s book. Huckabee, promoting the book in a video, declares, “Isn’t it amazing how so much that President Trump said still rings true? But schools and the media don’t want our kids to hear anything positive, and that’s why my team created ‘The Kid’s Guide to President Trump.’ It’ll teach your kids all about President Trump’s accomplishments and his vision for America, and I want you to have it for free.”
Countless Trump critics, from liberals and progressives to Never Trump conservatives, have described Trump’s following as a “cult” — which is the word journalist Aaron Rupar used when he tweeted Huckabee’s goofy video:

In response to Rupar’s tweet, some Twitter users compared “The Kids Guide to President Trump” to the type of idolatry that occurs in communist dictatorships:
Just so you are aware, another country that publishes children's books of their "Dear Leader," as a means of indoctrinating children; North Korea. Mike Huckabee is replicating the moulding of young minds strategy in N.Koreapic.twitter.com/vGT3lb9m36— martin J mcmahon (@martin J mcmahon) 1651631445
Wow, when I was a kid living in Poland during the communist regime, there were really colourful books about Lenin. And I was asking dad « who is that?, who is that?» and dad said « that’s a guy who never did a day’s work in his life». So I repeated that to a inspection visiting— Honorata Szulist (@Honorata Szulist) 1651660885
Huckabee has been an in-your-face promotor of the far-right White evangelical Christian nationalist movement, but Twitter user Jeff McKown noted Trump’s infamous “grab them by the pussy” comment:
I wonder what they named this chapter.pic.twitter.com/QHIkDgPC0P— Jeff McKown (@Jeff McKown) 1651635052
Here are some more reactions to “The Kid’s Guide to President Trump”:
And I used to think the L. Ron Hubbard commercial was weird as a kid. This is really scary. The only reference I can compare it to is how the nazis made the work camps look like a country club.— Laurie Hoke (@Laurie Hoke) 1651634668
