Jarrin Jackson, a Republican candidate for the Oklahoma State Senate, released a video this week accusing Disney of employing "pedophiles" because of a dress that Minnie Mouse wore on the front face of a gift card.

The illustration depicts Mickey hugging his companion Minnie, who is sporting a blue dress with her arm around Mickey's shoulder. Jackson, however, saw something completely different.

"Disney has for the longest time been a 'children,' entertainment institution. This is a gift card taken last week at a Target store. What do you see? What do you see? What do you see in that image? Do you see Minnie in a dress or do you see Mickey holding a penis?" Jackson ruminated. "The people at Disney are pedophiles. The people at Disney are pushing a Satanic, godless, child-predatory perspective."

There is a long-standing urban legend that Disney animators incorporate dirty drawings in their cartoons and cover art.

But for Twitter users, the real question is why Jackson's mind immediately went into the gutter.

People also sarcastically accused Jackson of making them corrupt their internet search histories.

Jarrin is not the only right-winger to have launched a crusade against Disney. On Monday, QAnon United States Congresswoman Lauren Boebert (R-Colorado) threatened Disney with political retaliation over its opposition to Florida's "Don't Say Gay" law. She was hounded on social media for confusing copyrights with trademarks and for misspelling Mickey.
