Putin allies miffed at Canadian diplomats' criticism

Russian diplomats are pushing back against Canadian government officials who are appealing to them to put a stop the Ukrainian invasion which has led to the loss of hundreds of innocent lives.
On Friday March 18, a newly edited version of a draft resolution letter to Russia has been made public. The letter, which was posted to Twitter by the Canada Mission, included several read marking which confirm eduts had been made to the document.
It also included several small memos posing questions and concerns about the innocent lives lost as a result of the mass destruction Ukraine has suffered at the hands of the Russian armed forces.
How do you account for the bombing of a maternity ward and the destruction of 200 schools?" The memo asked, adding, "Please explain."
It added, Do you think the UN membership actually believes you?”
According to The Daily Beast, the letter has led to heightened backlash from Russian diplomats who oppose the disapproval of the Ukrainian invasion. In fact, many have accused Canadian diplomats "of engaging in 'kindergarten-level' diplomacy and 'Russophobic libel.'"
