Marjorie Taylor Greene slammed for possibly making her most baseless claim yet

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) recently made yet another attempt to condemn the COVID-19 vaccine but one of the most distinct details in her argument is absolutely wrong.

Speaking from the House flppr on Thursday, March 17, the Republican lawmaker tried to compare the COVID-19 vaccine to previous innoulculations; namely for one created to combat Polio.

“I have never seen the CDC coming out, saying, ’Oh you’ve got to get your second polio shot, you gotta get your third, you gotta get your fourth,” she said

"I think the question we all should ask is, ‘When does it stop and when are enough vaccines enough?’” she said. “But we don’t have that question.”

Despite Greene's claim, that's actually what the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) specifies for the polio vaccination. Per HuffPost:

"The CDC has, in fact, said exactly that. The agency’s website explains that polio vaccination is a four-dose regimen and details when each shot should be given."

After a clip of the speech began circulating on social media, Twitter users began weighing in with critical comments about Greene.

"I have never seen the MTG coming out and saying anything intelligent," one Twitter user wrote.

"Who voted for her and is still willing to say they did at this point?" another Twitter user asked.
