GOP congressional candidate shows images of Democrats and wields rifle in ominous campaign ad

A Republican candidate for the United States House of Representatives released a campaign ad on Thursday in which he displayed images of President Joe Biden, Congresswomen Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-New York) and Ilhan Omar (D-Illinois), and ex-quarterback Colin Kaepernick that preceded footage of him wielding a rifle and pledging to "do whatever it takes to return this country back to its former glory."
JR Majewski of Ohio's 9th Congressional District, which includes Toledo, is an Air Force Veteran who supports former President Donald Trump and wants to "make Ohio and America great again." His area of expertise is managing projects within the nuclear power industry.
In his 60-second spot, Majewski accuses Democrats of "pushing unsustainable environmental solutions that waste taxpayer dollars on useless government subsidies that are killing our jobs. They're not creating new energy besides the energy to run their mouths."
Pictures of AOC, Omar, Kaepernick, and Biden provided the backdrop for Majewski's remarks.
He then declared that liberals "will undoubtedly destroy our economy" and that "we are losing our country and every classroom, every county, every police station, every company, and with every illegal vote."
The progressive agenda is "bringing America to its knees," Majewski added, which led into him carrying a firearm and promising to "do whatever it takes to return this country back to its former glory."

PatriotTakes – an account that monitors right-wing hate speech on social media – condemned Majewski's "implied threats of violence."

PatriotTakes also pointed out that Majewski was in Washington, DC during the January 6th, 2021 Capitol insurrection.
"Everyone who helped incite, plan, or participate in the January 6th riot should be banned from political office," PatriotTakes said.
There is no way that AOC or Ilhan Omar should be forced to work with these folks.

Everyone who helped incite, plan, or participate in the January 6th riot should be banned from political office.pic.twitter.com/qTpzw4cyxu— PatriotTakes 🇺🇸 (@PatriotTakes 🇺🇸) 1645728440
Twitter overflowed with additional blowback against Majewski's provocative taunt.

Ohio is a mess. I am completely appalled at all of the gop ads so far. We have rand Paul campaigning to elect his guy to fire fauci. We have pro-god, pro-gun, pro-trump marine guy, and tucker Carlson praising another guy. It’s a mess.— jen yokiel (@jen yokiel) 1645727587
What... dude wants people to believe that the fall of Toledo, it's jobs happened in the last few years? Maybe he should take a history lesson and learn about GM sending jobs to Mexico; hence the beginning of the end!— MEH. NOT UNHINGED. Stop the Spread 😷💉⚕🌊 (@MEH.
