On the one-year anniversary of the January 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol Building, far-right Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia held a press conference to attack Democrats for their Capitol riot investigations. But her ranting seemed to become too much even for right-wing Newsmax TV.

Newsmax prides itself on being to the right of Fox News, and it has been giving Greene more coverage than its competitor. But Greene’s rambling January 6 press conference apparently showed that even Newsmax has its limits.

Speaking on Capitol Hill, Greene attacked the Capitol riot investigations and told reporters, “You know, what I think needs to be the biggest investigation in United States history is: What is going on at the FBI, and what is happening in the Department of Justice? And the American people deserve those answers, because it’s the American people and the taxpayers that pay for all of it. Now, I don’t want to have anything to do with a government that is going to be so obsessed with overturning regime change in our own country when it should be serving the American people.”

That’s when Newsmax cut away from Greene, while giving itself a pat on the back for covering “arguments from the Republican side.”
