Newsmax host slammed for defending police in brutal arrest of US Army lieutenant: '2nd Amendment only applies to white people'

In Virginia, Democratic Gov. Ralph Northam is demanding an investigation of a troubling incident in which police threatened and maced a U.S. Army lieutenant, Caron Navario — who has filed a federal lawsuit, alleging that his constitutional rights were violated. And far-right Newsmax TV pundit Greg Kelly is drawing criticism for implying that the Black/Latino Army lieutenant brought it on himself.

The incident occurred on December 20, 2020, when police officers Joe Gutierrez and Daniel Crocker drew their guns on Navario during a traffic stop and were quick to use physical force with him.
