A major political bombshell came on Wednesday morning when CNN reported that Sen. Bernie Sanders, according to campaign staff, is suspending his presidential campaign.

Before the announcement, Sanders and former Vice President Joe Biden were the last two remaining candidates in the 2020 Democratic presidential primary. And with Sanders dropping out, Biden has gone from being the presumptive nominee to being the obvious nominee.

Sanders has stressed that if Biden became the nominee, he would campaign for him —and the Vermont senator has made it abundantly clear that despite policy differences with Biden, he would much rather see the former vice president in the White House in 2021 than President Donald Trump.
