Nancy Pelosi delivers an ominous warning to Trump: 'This is a cover-up'

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi uttered words Thursday that were undoubtedly bad news for Donald Trump and his coterie of crooks.
“This is a cover-up,” Pelosi said during her weekly news conference, after highlighting passages from the whistleblower complaint.
"The complaint states that the White House tried to lock down all records of the call, especially the word-for-word transcript," Pelosi said. "That gave the whistleblower reason to believe that they, the White House, understood the gravity of what transpired in that call. The complaint reports, a quote, 'repeated abuse of an electronic records system designed to store classified, sensitive national security information,' which the White House used to hide information of a political nature. This is a cover-up. This is a cover-up."
Yep. Sure was. But the phrase cover-up has particularly ominous connotations in Washington where "it's not the crime, it's the cover-up" became the catchphrase associated with Watergate and the inevitable downfall of a president.
