If you placed a bet on Donald Trump picking a fight with Denmark over the idea of buying Greenland during his third year in office, please see the attendant to collect your winnings, because here we are.

Oddly enough, when Texas Sen. Ted Cruz was campaigning for president, he answered media questions during a campaign event and climbed aboard his soapbox to warn all who’d gathered ‘round that Donald Trump is an unstable person who will not keep America safe.

Here is Ted Cruz, in his own words, before he waved the white flag and embraced the unstable man who publicly called his wife ugly and insinuated that Cruz’s father had a hand in assassinating President Kennedy.

We need a commander-in-chief, not a Twitterer-in-chief. We need someone with judgement and the temperament to keep this country safe. I don’t know anyone who would be comfortable with someone who behaves this way having his finger on the button. I mean, we’re liable to wake up one morning and Donald, if he were president, would’ve nuked Denmark. That’s not the temperament of a leader who will keep this country safe.

Watch the video below.

Where is Ted Cruz now? Carrying Donald Trump’s luggage.
