Watch: Trump keeps demanding an investigation into the 'oranges' of the Mueller investigation

While speaking with reporters Tuesday in the Oval Office, President Donald Trump repeatedly called for an investigation into the "oranges" of Special Counsel Robert Mueller's Russia investigation.
The flub was apparently a mangling of the word "origins" — like many Republicans, the president has been trying to raise suspicions about the propriety of how the probe started, which has, in fact, been extensively reported on. Of course, anyone can mispronounce a word, or stumble over a sentence, and such slips are hardly noteworthy. But Trump repeatedly and clearly said the word "oranges" instead of "origins" and appeared unable to correct himself or even to realize that what he was saying was not only incorrect but, in context, ridiculous.

Wow -- Trump repeatedly mangles the word "origins," on three separate occasions saying "oranges" instead. 😳 https://t.co/EZggYhIAO7— Aaron Rupar (@Aaron Rupar) 1554231703
Trump also, bizarrely, claimed that his father was born in Germany, which is not true.
Some observers found the slips worrying:
