GOP’s Jim Jordan rages against ‘reckless’ Democrats for conducting oversight of White House security clearances
White House whistleblower told a House committee that up to 25 individuals had been granted top security clearance despite objections from career staffers, the New York Times reported Monday.
They had been denied for reasons ranging from foreign influence, personal conduct, financial problems and criminal conduct according to the memo released by House staffers.
Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), who sits on the House Committee on Oversight and Reform, issued a scathing rebuke of Democrats on the committee.
“It is extremely unfortunate and disappointing that Chairman Cummings is now using this sensitive topic as a pretense for a partisan attack on the White House,” Jordan said.
