Trump-loving conspiracy nuts once again blow a prediction about the mass arrest of the president's foes

Another week, another missed prediction of the mass arrest of President Donald Trump's political enemies.

The Daily Beast reports that followers of the "QAnon" conspiracy theory had predicted that Trump would round up prominent Democrats for their supposed participation in a global pedophile ring on March 19th.

March 19th has come and gone, however, and the mass arrests never occurred.

As the report notes, this isn't the first time that QAnon followers have made a false prediction about these arrests, which they refer to as "The Storm" that will sweep away all opposition to the president.

The first failed prediction came in 2017, when followers believed that longtime Clinton loyalists John Podesta and Huma Abedin would be arrested for their role in running a child human trafficking syndicate. Since then, QAnon followers have also predicted that Trump would bring the hammer down on his enemies during the funeral of former President George H.W. Bush -- a prediction that also failed spectacularly.

None of this has phased QAnon's core base, however.

"Unlike earlier failed predictions, which saw some followers leave the movement or express discouragement, this latest failure appears to have already vanished down the movement’s memory hole," reports the Daily Beast. "QAnon’s failures are so numerous they’ve become an ambient white noise that true believers can tune out."
