On Tuesday, Hillary Clinton tweeted what could only be characterized as an epic level of shade at President Donald Trump:
The GIF, taken from the 2004 classic "Mean Girls," is an obvious reference to how Trump, despite having squeaked out an Electoral College win over Clinton's 3 million popular vote lead, has spent the past two years complaining about her whenever any level of criticism is directed at him by the public or the media.
Trump routinely tweets insults and accusations about Clinton on bad days, wanted his Department of Justice to investigate her, and even claimed that she was the real person colluding with Russia, because her campaign helped fund former British Spy Christopher Steele's effort to investigate Russia (if this sounds nonsensical, that's because it is.)
Even as speculation and buzz continues to grow about the new crop of Democratic candidates vying to take on Trump in 2020, Trump could not help but harp on about Clinton in multiple tweets just today:
The 2016 election was one of the nastiest in living memory. Clinton has earned the right to go about her private life in peace and engage in politics on her own terms. And she certainly doesn't need Trump outrage-coasting on her name.
