German Police Seize Thousands of Donald Trump Shaped Ecstasy Tablets

Drugs

German police have caught a whiff of the party drug ‘making America great again.’ On Tuesday, the Polizeiinspektion Osnabrueck seized 5,000 ecstasy tablets shaped like the head of President Donald Trump.

The pills, which are marketed with the slogan “Trump makes partying great again,” were found after police pulled over an Austrian 51-year-old man and his 17-year-old son in their rental car in Lower Saxony, a state in northwest Germany.

The pills have an estimated wholesale value of $12,900 and a street value of $45,900. Police also found a large (unspecified) amount of cash.

Last month, AlterNet reported that Donald Trump themed Ecstasy tablets were making the rounds on the dark web, an online unregulated market for purchasing illegal goods and services. This is the first known large-scale seizure regarding the American-themed drug.
