Department of Homeland Security chief Michael Chertoff was on Meet the Press on Sunday, trying to explain the delay in getting help to New Orleans: "I remember on Tuesday morning picking up newspapers and I saw headlines, 'New Orleans Dodged The Bullet.'"

Right. As Wonkette says, "We're wondering what papers the Chertoff household gets, because these are the headlines that greeted most people Tuesday morning:
