'They’re panicking': Analyst shuts down Vance’s latest Trump claim on major policy issue

Democratic strategist Julie Rogensky just poured cold water on 2024 GOP vice presidential nominee JD Vance's latest claim regarding Donald Trump's position on the issue of abortion.
The US senator told Meet the Press host Kristen Welker on Sunday that if Trump defeats Vice President Kamala Harris in November, he will veto a national abortion ban.
Speaking with the Lift Our Voices founder on Monday, MSNBC's Chris Jansing emphasized that many Democrats, like Rogensky, "aren't buying" Vance's claim.

"Oh, please. They're panicking," Rogensky said about the 2024 GOP nominees.
"Donald Trump has been on record, saying 'Maybe a 15-week ban is not such a bad thing," she continued. "He's been going back and forth on this — he bragged about abolishing Roe v. Wade, he appointed the three justices that did abolish Roe v. Wade. To paraphrase Elvis Presley — a little less conversation, a lot more action — We know what the action has been. It has been to deprive women of their rights."
She added that the Ohio lawmaker, himself, has been "very clear" about his "100% pro-life" stance. "And above and beyond that, he wouldn't even vote to uphold in vitro fertilization (IVF). He wouldn't even vote to uphold that IVF was legal," Rogensky added.
"This is as extreme as it gets," the Democratic strategist emphasized. "So I don't really take what JD Vance says at face value. We know what they're going to do because we know what Donald Trump has done before."

Jansing also noted US Senator Elizabeth Warren's (D-MA) response to Vance's claim.
"American women are not stupid," the former Democratic presidential candidate said. "And we are not going to trust the futures of our daughters and granddaughters to two men who have openly bragged about blocking access to abortion for women all across this country."
