'You’re the party of forced birth': Twitter lambastes Elise Stefanik for calling the GOP 'the party of women'

United States Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) is receiving significant backlash across the internet after claiming the GOP enforces policies and laws that benefit and support women.
The House Republican Conference Chair made this claim via Twitter in response to an article published by Breitbart, which reports the House GOP's vote to pass a bill banning men from women's sports, noting no Democratic lawmakers support the legislation.
Stefanik expressed her enthusiasm for the bill Friday via Twitter, writing, "It is clear that Republicans are the party of women. Not one single Democrat stood up to protect the future of women's sports."

The legislation, titled the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act, according to Breitbart, "would amend Title IX to prevent men from competing against women in school sports," and it would also "clarify that in the Education Amendments of 1972, the term 'sex' as mentioned under the Title IX section 'shall be recognized based solely on a person's reproductive biology and genetics at birth.'"
Furthermore, the bill would "work to withhold funding from schools receiving federal financial assistance should they violate Title IX by allowing transgender athletes to compete in sports programs designed for the opposite sex."
Regarding the GOP's support of women — or lack thereof, The Hill reports:
A lack of strategic framing on issues like abortion and fielding candidates who speak primarily to the core of their base have at times cost Republicans women voters during elections, some members of the party say.
Social media users quickly laid into Stefanik for claiming her beloved party supports women as it continues to attack women's reproductive rights.
