Tuberville snaps at claims his military blockade led to Marine commander’s heart attack: 'Come on!'

Even after a major U.S. Marines commander suffered a heart attack, Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Alabama) didn't back down from blocking military promotions.
Senate Armed Services Chairman Jack Reed (D-Rhode Island), according to Politico, commented that the stress of the blockade may have "contributed to his condition."
But Tuberville, talking to reporters on November 2, angrily pushed back against claims that his blockade may have somehow "contributed" to the heart attack.

Tuberville forcefully told reporters, "Somebody said he was working 18 hours a day. Jack Reed blamed me for his heart attack. Come on, give me a break! This guy's going to work 18, 20 hours a day no matter what. That's what we do. I did that for years, because you've gotta get the job done."
