Ex-prosecutor issues dire warning to law enforcement about Trump: 'No holds barred'
Following Donald Trump's Thursday hour-long press conference, former FBI counsel and legal analyst Andrew Weissmann issued a dire warning to the public, "the media and law enforcement."
Weissmann — who's the co-author of The Trump Indictments: The Historic Charging Documents with Commentary along with NYU law professor Melissa Murray — often breaks down to MSNBC and CNN viewers the intricacies of Trump's legal issues, while warning them of the existential threat to democracy the former president poses.
The ex-FBI counsel took to social media Thursday to issue yet another warning to Americans that with less than 90 days until Election Day — the ex-president's attacks are sure to intensify.

Weissmann wrote:
DON'T KNOW HOW TO SAY THIS MORE EMPHATICALLY (HENCE ALL CAPS!): GIVEN THE DISTINCT PROSPECT OF JAIL, TRUMP IS GOING TO GET UGLIER, MORE RACIST, MORE VIOLENT, MORE CRIMINAL. 4 STATE AND FEDERAL JUDGES, IN CIVIL AND CRIMINAL CASES, HAVE HAD TO DEAL WITH HIS EFFORTS TO OBSTRUCT JUSTICE; HE'S BEEN CHARGED WITH OBSTRUCTION, INCLUDING OF A PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION, AND WAS CONVICTED OF DOING SO IN THE 2016 ELECTION. FOR HIM, IT IS NOW "NO HOLDS BARRED" TIME. THE MEDIA AND LAW ENFORCEMENT NEED TO BE ON ALERT.
USA Today columnist Sara Pequeño noted that Trump was "focused more on bashing President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris than anything he's actually running on. And while he did make some news about an impending debate with Harris, most of his time was spent talking about, well, nothing."
The press conference comes after the MAGA hopeful posted an attack on the Democrats to Truth Social earlier this week, writing:

Several legal experts were "genuinely baffled" by the former president's clear display of "bigotry," Islamophobia, and anti-semitism, while conservative Charlie Sykes commented: "Can we just say it? the guy is fuqqing nuts."
