'You’re a 78-year old man': Editor calls out Trump over ex-president’s SCOTUS jab

Bloomberg News editor-in-chief John Micklethwait called out Donald Trump while interviewing the ex-president at the Chicago Economic Club Tuesday.
Micklethwait asked the 2024 GOP nominee whether or not he'd replace federal government officials the way he desired to replace Supreme Court justices during his term as president.
"You came up with a list of people who you thought you were replacing in bringing in a Supreme Court justice. Would you do that with the federal government?" the Bloomberg chief asked.

"A lot of people said I got elected because of that," Trump said. "I was an unknown quantity. I was known as a businessman. People were worried am I gonna be liberal. Somebody said, 'Will you come up with a 20 or 25 justices' — in this case mostly judges — that you'd put in in case it were necessary."
The ex-president continued, "Now it's amazing because I got 3 in 4 years. Most people get one. You tend to put them in young. Only stupid people put old justices in."
The Bloomberg editor replied, "You're a 78-year old man running for president."
The former president ignored Micklethwait and kept talking.
