Early Wednesday afternoon, May 21, U.S. President Donald Trump met with visiting South African President Cyril Ramaphosa in the White House and took questions from reporters — some of whom he angrily lashed out at.

Trump's ally Elon Musk (a native of South Africa) was present during the meeting, which addressed a variety of subjects — including MAGA claims that white South Africans are being targeted for "genocide."

Below are five explosive moments from the meeting.

1. Trump promoted claims about 'genocide' against white South African farmers

During the meeting, Trump aired a video claiming that white farmers in South African are being targeted for "genocide."

CNN reported, "Our understanding is the point of this video is to back up some of the claims that Trump has made about South Africa. It seems this is clearly a well-orchestrated effort. They brought screens. There's not usually TVs in the Oval Office

2. CNN reporter described video as an 'ambush' of South African president

CNN reported, "It's an ambush…. At some point, the South African president was kind of looking forward, kind of trying not to watch…. Although President Trump is very much engaged in this video…. We all anticipated, at some point, this meeting would go awry."

3.Trump exploded when reporter asked him about Qatar gift

Qatar's royal family recently offered the U.S. a luxury jet, and Trump accepted it as a gift. When a reporter brought up the gift, Trump became furious.

Trump told the reporter, "You know, you ought to get out of here. What does this have to do with the Qatari jet? They're giving the United States Air Force a jet, OK? And it's a great thing. We're talking about a lot of other things. It's NBC trying to get off the subject of what you just saw. You are a real — you know, you're a terrible reporter. Number one, you don't have what it takes to be a reporter. You're not smart enough. But for you to go into a subject about a jet that was given to the United States Air Force, which is a very nice thing."

4. Trump called for investigation of NBC News

Trump was so angry at the reporter who asked him about the gift from Qatar that he called for NBC News to be investigated.

Trump told the reporter, "You ought to go back to your studio at NBC because Brian Roberts and the people that run that place, they ought to be investigated. They are so terrible, the way you run that network. And you're a disgrace. No more questions from you."

But CNN's Dana Bash, covering the meeting, defended journalist Peter Alexander, telling colleague Daniel Dale that he is a "terrific reporter."

5. Trump claimed white South Africans are being targeted for violence

During the meeting, Trump quoted from right-wing media articles claiming that white South Africans are experiencing "reverse apartheid." Trump told reporters, "Death, death, death. Horrible death…. White South Africans are fleeing because of the violence and racist laws."

Trump went on to claim that the mainstream media are ignoring violence against South African whites.

Trump told reporters, "A correct and a fair media exposes things. But we have a very corrupt media. They won't even report this. If this were the other way around, it would be the biggest story. Now, I will say: apartheid, terrible. That was the biggest story that was reported all the time. This is sort of the opposite of apartheid. What's happening now is never reported. Nobody knows about it."
