'So disgusted': This PA voter supported Trump in 2024 — but isn't sure he'll vote GOP again

Todd Harder and CNN's John King
Many years after Democratic strategist James Carville famously described the Keystone State as Philadelphia in the east, Pittsburgh in the west and Alabama in between, Pennsylvania remains a complex and volatile swing state. Donald Trump was so unpopular in Philly in 2020 that when Pennsylvania was called for Joe Biden in the 2020 election, huge celebrations broke out in the streets of Center City — yet four years later, in 2024, Trump defeated Democratic nominee Kamala Harris by roughly 1.7 percent in Pennsylvania.
CNN took a look at Pennsylvania's political complex in a Wednesday, May 28 report, interviewing a 55-year-old Allentown resident, Todd Harder, who voted for Trump in 2024 but isn't feeling optimistic now.
Harder told CNN's John King, "There is a God. I'm Catholic. I was just so disgusted just how everything is in this world. You know, it's just going to crap."

When King asked Harder if he would keep voting, the Allentown resident told him, "If I feel that things are running properly, yes. If I don't see anything changing, it really doesn't matter what my vote is."
Gerard Babb, another Pennsylvania resident King interviewed, also voted for Trump in 2024 but now fears that Trump's tariffs could put him out of work.
However, Michelle Rios, a Pennsylvania-based Latina voter and Trump critic, is worried about how his policies will affect Latinos in her state.
Rios said of Trump's second presidency, "It just instills fear, and I think that's essentially what the last few months have done to people."

When King asked Rios what she would say to Trump if she had "one minute" to talk to him, the Pennsylvania Latina responded, "Oh, I don't think I would want a minute. And that's just being honest. There's a lot of things that come to mind, but I just don't think I would know where to start."
