'Weirdo' Trump slammed for 'ranting like a lunatic in middle of night'
Donald Trump early Wednesday morning came under fire for a social media post made overnight.
Trump took to Truth Social at around 2:00 A.M. Eastern Time to make an all-caps post in which he made false claims and referred to himself exclusively in the third person.
"RUSSIA NEVER INVADED UKRAINE UNDER TRUMP! IRAN NEVER INVADED ISRAEL UNDER TRUMP!" the former president exclaimed before claiming, "NOBODY INVADED ANYBODY UNDER TRUMP!"
Trump further claimed that, "CHINA NEVER EVEN THOUGHT OF INVADING TAIWAN UNDER TRUMP!"
"BIGGEST EVER EMBARRASSMENT IN AFGHANISTAN WOULD HAVE NEVER HAPPENED UNDER TRUMP! THERE WAS NO INFLATION UNDER TRUMP!" the ex-president claimed. "WHAT A DIFFERENT WORLD IT WOULD BE UNDER TRUMP!!!"
The commenters were quick to slam Trump, mainly for the timing and nature of the post itself.
@Nightwing2679 on Truth Social wrote in response to Trump's post, "This is more proof you are unfit for any office whatsoever. Ranting like a lunatic in the middle of the night." The user then added, "Trump is the enemy of the American people."
@jucticerules also chimed in on Trump's take:
"Wow, a rambling Trump on Fox News today & it really seems like he is backing out of debating Kamala Harris.
He’s such a coward. He knows she would wipe the floor with him."
@tomhauburn replied to Trump, "DON OLD have you forgotten you stated Russia invading was Brilliant."
"That withdrawal was your idea," he added. "Can you [manage] to not lie your way of every hour of every day. You [bat] poop crazy."
@AmoneyResists on X also joined in on slamming Trump.
"It’s 2AM on Wednesday and Donald Trump is rage-posting all caps lunacy on his failed social media platform about how 'terrible Kamala is,' how 'she needed a concert to attract people in GA' (lol no) and how 'NOBODY INVADED ANYBODY UNDER TRUMP! MAGA!' What an unfit f------ weirdo."
