Trump team’s official legal defense fund launch contains error: report

Former president and 2024 presidential candidate Donald Trump's new legal defense fund officially launched Sunday, and the announcement included a grammatical error, The Daily Beast reports.
Per the Beast, a header on the fund's website reads, "Support Donald Trumps Patriot Legal Defense Fund" — omitting an apostrophe.
The fund launch comes days after United States Department special counsel Jack Smith hit Trump with his third indictment over the MAGA hopeful's attempt to overturn the 2020 election.
The New York Times reports:
The fund, which is expected to be called the Patriot Legal Defense Fund Inc., will be led by Michael Glassner, a longtime Trump political adviser, according to the people familiar with the planning, who were not authorized to discuss it publicly. Another Trump aide who worked at the Trump Organization and then in Mr. Trump's administration, Lynne Patton, will also be involved, the people said.
In addition to the typo, The Daily Beast notes:
The fund technically may not coordinate with the campaign on fundraising, since its existence as a legal defense fund allows it to skirt the Federal Election Commission’s campaign-finance rules. But clicking the 'Donate Now' hyperlink sends users directly to Trump's 2024 campaign website, where viewers are hit up front with donation requests. The only other link on the fund's page also takes you to the campaign site.
Further adding to the eyebrow-raising ethical concerns, Susie Wiles, a top campaign aide, is listed on the Patriot Legal Defense Fund's incorporation documents.
