'Read it!' Trump fans troll 'sellout' Pence alleging he didn’t 'uphold the Constitution'

Ahead of an event Friday, former Vice President Mike Pence found himself face-to-face with fans of his former boss and 2024 opponent, ex-President Donald Trump.
ABC Politics campaign reporter Kelsey Walsh shared a video of Pence's encounter with the MAGA hopeful's supporters via Twitter, writing, "A dozen Trump supporters approached Mike Pence's vehicle as he entered his Friday event yelling, 'that's a traitor,' 'you're a sellout,' and 'why didn't you uphold the constitution?' I upheld the constitution,' Pence shouted back. As they badgered him he yelled, 'Read it!'"
This comes after Pence denounced his former boss following the 2020 election indictment earlier this week, tweeting, "Today's indictment serves as an important reminder: anyone who puts himself over the Constitution should never be President of the United States. I will have more to say about the government’s case after reviewing the indictment. The former president is entitled to the presumption of innocence but with this indictment, his candidacy means more talk about January 6th and more distractions. As Americans, his candidacy means less attention paid to Joe Biden's disastrous economic policies afflicting millions across the United States and to the pattern of corruption with Hunter."

Although Pence has called denounced the former president's influence over the January 6 attack, he has also said "I'm not yet convinced" his actions "were criminal."
