Watch: Pro-Trump GOP lawmaker tells Jack Smith his 'days are numbered'

The far-right Newsmax prides itself on being even more MAGA and more pro-Donald Trump than Fox News, often bringing on the former president's ardent defenders. One of them is far-right Rep. Clay Higgins (R-Louisiana), who angrily railed against special counsel Jack Smith during a Wednesday, November 29 appearance on Newsmax host Chris Salcedo's show — saying that "his days are numbered."

Salcedo noted that Smith, in a warrant, is seeking data related to Trump's @readdonaldtrump account on X, former Twitter.

Higgins told Salcedo, "I consider it a badge of honor to be on another one of Jack Smith's lists. So, I just say that his days are numbered, and American patriots are not going to stand idly by, good sir, and allow our republic to dissolve. We are prepared to fight legally and peacefully and within the parameters of the Constitution with every ounce of our might and focus."
