'Frustrated': Republicans demand Trump's AG file more 'legal charges' against his enemies

Punchbowl News reports House conservatives are gunning for President Donald Trump’s perceived enemies, and they want Attorney General Pam Bondi to get faster at prosecuting them.
“A non-response is not adequate,” said Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.). “The base just wants legal charges brought against people who broke the law.”
Angry Republicans are targeting Dr. Anthony Fauci for what they view as an unproven coverup of the origins of the Covid-19 virus. They also want New York Attorney General Letitia James arrested for successfully nailing Trump with a civil suit, and they want Bondi to file federal criminal charges against Democratic mayors who, in their opinion, offer “sanctuary” to undocumented immigrants.

Additionally, GOP lawmakers told Punchbowl they want targets on the backs of Biden administration bureaucrats who they claim “wasted” federal taxpayer money on DEI and anti-climate change policies. Punchbowl reports these same Republicans are unclear about what laws they broke, if any.
“I would like to see things continue to move as quickly as possible,” said Rep. Michael Cloud (R-Texas). “Even some of the stuff DOGE has uncovered, it’s massive corruption that’s been going on and that should turn into criminal referrals.”
DOGE has had to revise its purported savings and fraud claims over the last few months. Critics say it also “continues” to publish “misleading or inaccurate claims” about savings it has recovered. Some House members may be getting frustrated at the frequently bombastic fraud claims that consistently deliver no prosecution.
Bondi’s Justice Department has already launched a criminal probe into allegations that New York AG Letitia James committed mortgage fraud after James secured a $450 million civil case against Trump in 2023 for illegally inflating the value of his assets.

But legislators complain Bondi has yet to release federal files on convicted sexual predator Jeffrey Epstein, who may have had connections to Democrats like former President Bill Clinton, in addition to a more than passing friendship with Trump.
“I’m as frustrated as anybody,” said Rep. Eric Burlison (R-Mo.) to Punchbowl. “I particularly want the Epstein list released as soon as possible and I think a lot of people are blackpilled about this thinking it’ll never happen, but I’m going to keep fighting to get it released.”
