Trump devotees rip 'disloyal' Jenna Ellis for accepting plea deal after raising 216K for defense
Attorney Jenna Ellis became the fourth co-defendant to flip on former President Donald Trump in Fulton County, Georgia District Attorney's election interference case when, on Tuesday, October 24, she entered a "guilty" plea in an Atlanta courtroom.
Ellis, who promoted Trump's false claims of a stolen election in 2020, agreed to probation and a fine but will avoid prison. In exchange, she must give Willis' office her total cooperation — much to the chagrin of Trump World.
In an article published by Rolling Stone on October 25, journalist Nikki McCann Ramirez reports that MAGA Republicans who raised money for Ellis' legal defense are furious over her plea deal.

"In the aftermath of her indictment," Ramirez explains, "major players in MAGA Land rushed to help boost a fundraiser supporting Ellis…. Despite her support for Trump in the aftermath of the election, and her alleged participation in schemes to help keep him in power, Ellis was among several of the former president's allies left to fend for themselves as his legal troubles dragged them into the sights of prosecutors — even though Trump regularly dips into his massive campaign coffers to cover his own legal expenses."
Ellis, Ramirez notes, raised more than $216,000 for her defense.
One of the far-right MAGA Republicans who is railing against her is Laura Loomer, who angrily tweeted, "Jenna Ellis scammed all of you who donated to her. I TOLD YOU NOT TO DONATE TO THIS DISLOYAL WENCH. Today she accepted a plea deal, which will only require her to pay a $5,000 fine and get probation for 5 years. She didn’t even attempt to fight the charges. She’s now going to use the money so many of you foolishly gave her to work against President Trump in an election year. Shame on every single MORON who donated to Jenna Ellis. $216,000!!!! WHAT A SCAM!!! You should feel ashamed of yourself if you donated to her."
Far-right podcast host Breanna Morello attacked Ellis as well, tweeting, "Jenna Ellis spoke about election fraud at several events after the 2020 election. Was she paid speaking fees? What new evidence has she seen that's suddenly changed her views? We all know the answers to these questions. I look forward to President Trump's and Rudy Giuliani's legal teams grilling her on the stand about it."

Alex Bruesewitz, a Trump-supporting political consultant, slammed the plea deal as an "absolute disgrace."
Bruesewitz said of Ellis, "Is she pocketing the money? I think she should return it."
Breitbart News' Raheem Kassam tweeted, "Crying Jenna Ellis took $216,000 from the public, claiming she was going to 'fight' against the court case. Instead, she copped a plea deal today."
