'Kitchen sink isn’t one of them': Analyst predicts Trump defense case 'could last weeks and weeks'

Ahead of the start of ex-President Donald Trump's defense in his New York civil fraud trial Monday, MSNBC's Alex Witt noted the MAGA hopeful's legal team has over 120 potential witnesses who could potentially be key witnessed for the defense, and Donald Trump Jr. is set to testify first.
Witt asked NBC News reporter Ryan Reilly, "What do you expect we will hear from Donald Jr.'s testimony tomorrow?"
Reilly replied, "Just scrolling through the list before we went on the air, there's not a lot of name you wouldn't recognize on there, but kitchen sink isn't one of them, certainly. They're trying to basically put as many people up as they possibly can and basically extend this thing out as long as possible. There's not a lot of marquee names there necessarily, other than Trump's sons. [Ex-Trump Organization Chief Financial Officer] Alan Weisselberg is down the list there as well. But I think they wanted to make sure that they make sure anyone was on the list who they could potentially call. They also said that any the prosecutions' witnesses, they would want to be able to call as well."

He continued, "I think the thing will be whether or not they're going to end up frustrating the judge. Because it's the judge who is ultimately going to decide the extent of this, and of course he's already found the underlying fraud, it's just a matter of how much the damages are going to be for this trial, so it's certainly something you don't want to irritate him more by putting a witness after witness who are repeating the same thing over and over again, and certainly, some of these people are people who are in Donald Trump's orbit or on his employees. so it's interesting to see how this shakes out. If they were to call these witnesses, this could be weeks and weeks of a defense case here."
