'Save yourself': Conservative urges Trump campaign adviser to quit

S.E. Cupp, a longtime conservative and CNN political commentator, on Thursday night hit Donald Trump's senior adviser with a blistering reality check.
During the final few minutes of CNN NewsNight with Abby Phillips, Cupp urged Chris LaCivita — who's heading the former president's 2024 campaign — to look for another job.
"Chris LaCivita needs to quit the campaign," Cupp said, as the CNN panel burst into laughter. "Save yourself. Save yourself," the S.E. Cupp: Unfiltered host added.

"You're too good for this," Cupp emphasized. "You have two people — [GOP vice presidential nominee] JD Vance and Donald Trump — your principals — who are disasters, and are incapable of listening to your very good strategy advice. So, quit now."
The Associated Press reports, the ex-president's "campaign and its related affiliates announced Thursday that they had raised $138.7 million last month — less than what his new opponent in November’s election, Vice President Kamala Harris, took in during her White House bid’s opening week."
Political pundits have questioned whether the Trump campaign regrets selecting Vance as the MAGA hopeful's running mate, considering the Ohio senator's historically low rating.
"On the whole, the feeling is: doesn't add much," one House GOP member told Axios last week, referring to Vance.

"And now with Kamala at the top, the capacity to have expanded the map a little bit ... would have been much more beneficial."
