MAGA ruptures as Trump 'drop kicks' Marjorie Taylor Greene

The MAGA community is splitting as President Donald Trump kicked longtime ally Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) to the curb this week.
Trump formally broke ties with Greene after her continued opposition to his crusade against releasing the Epstein files. For weeks Trump and House Speaker Mike Johnson have worked in lockstep to prevent the release of thousands of documents related to convicted sex-trafficker Jeffrey Epstein until the recent swearing in of Rep. Adelita Grijalva (D-Arizona) sealed the last vote needed to bypass Johnson’s blockade.
As the documents prepare to hit the public next week, Trump announced on Truth Social that he was pulling his endorsement of Greene in her next election and searching for Republicans to run against her in the GOP primary.
“All I see ‘Wacky’ Marjorie do is COMPLAIN, COMPLAIN, COMPLAIN!” Trump posted, while vowing "Complete and Unyielding Support" to any conservative primary challenger leading into the 2026 midterm elections.
Newsweek reports the break between Trump and Greene “marks a rare and significant fissure within the MAGA movement, where loyalty to Trump has long been the defining currency. Greene has served as one of Trump’s most influential surrogates, amplifying his message across the hard-right base and shaping grassroots activism.”
But Greene's influence is still strong in the MAGA community, which appears to be sorting itself into two enclaves after Trump’s un-endorsement.
“Work it out @POTUS @realDonaldTrump,” commented one X user who still self-identifies as supporting President Trump “100 percent.” “MTG had your back for years. What did she say that was so wrong that you would drop kick her like this? Work it out, or give We the People the information we need to comprehend why you would do this, in this manner.”
“Nope. She broke from the party and Trump just showed her the door,” argued another MAGA member on X. “Going on The View and comparing us to those hags.
Greene posted in her own X account that Trump “just attacked me and lied about me.”
“Apparently this is what sent him over the edge. The Epstein files. And of course he’s coming after me hard to make an example to scare all the other Republicans before next week’s vote to release the Epstein files,” Greeen continued. “It’s astonishing really how hard he’s fighting to stop the Epstein files from coming out that he actually goes to this level.”
Greene added that she has “supported President Trump with too much of my precious time … But I don’t worship or serve Donald Trump.”
