Far-right MAGA Republicans threaten to torch 'RINO' Emmer’s speaker bid: 'Stand strong against this'
Early Tuesday morning, October 24, eight House Republicans were competing for the House speaker nomination. But after a closed-door meeting, Rep. Tom Emmer (R-Minnesota) emerged as the nominee.
It remains to be seen whether or not Emmer will be able to get the 217 votes needed to be confirmed as speaker. As conservative as Emmer is, some far-right MAGA Republicans and conspiracy theorists are not happy to see him nominated.
Conspiracy theorist Laura Loomer is threatening to go after any House Republican who votes "yes" on making Emmer speaker.

On X, formerly Twitter, Loomer posted, "If @HouseGOP makes Tom Emmer Speaker, I will dedicate the next year to dropping oppo files on every single Republican who votes for him. And there will be no exceptions made. GOP really enjoys losing, don't they?"
Podcast host Joey Mannarino tweeted, "Tom Emmer got FEWER votes in the Republican Conference than Jim Jordan got last week. Don't throw your principles away, Republicans! Stand strong AGAINST this!"
The conspiracy theorists at the Gateway Pundit accused Emmer of plotting with Democrats to abolish the Electoral College.
The Pundit posted, "It's becoming increasingly difficult to support a party who hates you and ignores you as a voter. Tom Emmer wants to change the US Constitution to eliminate the Electoral College and let the popular vote and radical left blue states choose the US President."

MAGA pundit Dustin Mills wanted Republicans to nominate Rep. Byron Donalds (R-Florida) instead of Emmer, posting, "Tom Emmer is not the guy this country needs or wants. Call your congressman and woman to vote against Tom Emmer and vote for Donalds for Speaker. BYRON DONALDS FOR SPEAKER."
Republican Derrick Evans, a self-described "J6 patriot" and former member of the West Virginia House of Delegates, tweeted, "In case you were wondering why RINO Carol Miller (WV) supports Tom Emmer for speaker."
Anti-Islam conspiracy theorist Pamela Geller claimed that Democrats were behind Emmer's nomination, tweeting, "Going With Democrats’ Choice, House Republicans Elect RINO Tom Emmer for Speaker in Secret Ballot Democrats are saying they will help get Emmer over the finish line. The GOP establishment hate YOU."
MAGA activist Mila Joy tweeted, "A HUGE NO on Tom Emmer. Emmer is a Trump-hating RINO who thinks the Electoral College should be done away with. If this happens, California and New York will pick the President forever."
