MAGA podcaster and former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon called for an investigation into Fox News personalities for allegedly “representing” Israel over the needs of Americans, according to Mediaite.

Bannon’s demand, which he made on his June 20 ‘War Room’ podcast, represents another attack in the escalating MAGA civil war over President Donald Trump’s eagerness to involve the U.S. in Middle East violence. Bannon’s targets include Kayleigh McEnany, Sean Hannity and Mark Levin.

The former strategist played a clip of McEnany arguing for more U.S. involvement in the Iran/Israel conflict, claiming the Iranian government has taken American hostages and wreaked havoc on the world.

“To the isolationist crowd, my question would be: What makes your position materially different than the beach-side foreign policy of Joe Biden? Sticking your head in the sand is no different than sitting in the sandy beaches of Delaware,” said McEnany, Trump’s former press secretary.

“’America First’ is not sitting in a beach chair and using words,” McEnany added. “It’s taking decisive action when we can take out [Iran’s nuclear site] Fordow with one swoop of an airplane.”

Bannon showed no patience for McEnany’s version of “America First.”

“‘With one swoop of an airplane,’” Bannon sneered. “Of course, Kayleigh McEnany is infantile, let’s be blunt. That right there is dangerous. That is dangerous, and that is on Fox all day long. … [W]hy do you not think that they’re representing a foreign government? Hannity, Levin, the whole crowd. There should be an investigation.”

The Bannon and McEnany bout appears to represent two MAGA sides squaring off this week, with establishment MAGA, represented by the $22 billion Fox Corporation, adopting an interventionalist stance on one side and small-time independents and MAGA influences—including Bannon—on the other.

Bannon went on to question the degree of influence the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) has on McEnany’s side of the battlefield. “Has there been intelligence? Are, you know, are the guys taking ads? You see the AIPAC ads all the time over there. I’m a supporter of Israel. And I believe in Israel first to do what they think is necessary. … But this is different scale. This is different level. And in history, scale matters.”
