Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) on Sunday floated the idea that Republicans want to eliminate national public broadcasting systems like the National Public Radio (NPR.)

Fox News' Maria Bartiramo asked the GOP congresswoman what she believes to be "the most government waste."

Greene replied, "It's all over. Every single government department — it is everywhere. So when we look into a deep dive into this massive problem that's caused America to be $36 trillion in debt, we're going to have to go into all kinds of buckets."

The Peach State lawmaker continue, "We'll be looking at everything from government funded media programs like NPR that spread nothing but Democrat propaganda. We'll be going into grant programs that fund things like sex apps in Malaysia, and toilets in Africa."

Legal analyst and former federal prosecutor Joyce Vance replied via social media to Greene's comments.

"MTG wants to control your access to information," Vance wrote. "Fight back by being well informed. Develop trusted sources of information. Do not let them keep you in the dark about what they are doing-that is the hope of dictators."
