Under the U.S. Constitution's 22nd Amendment, presidents are limited to two terms — which can be either consecutive or non-consecutive. But some of President Donald Trump's MAGA allies are calling for him to run for a third term in 2028.
An official Trump online store, according to ABC News, is now selling "Trump 2028" hats for $50. And some internet users, in response, are calling for former President Barack Obama to run in 2028 even though he already served two full terms.
@ObamaFor2028, a new troll account on X.com, formerly Twitter, debuted on Thursday, April 24. And in its profile, the account says, "Abolish the 22nd and you will meet Obama. An account dedicated to making this happen. Not officially associated with @BarackObama."

@ObamaFor2028, noting that far-right Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Georgia) is promoting the "Trump 2028" hats, tweeted, "We can both play at this game Marjorie."
The account, which Barack Obama himself has no connection to, is already drawing a lot of attention on X.
KrasssenCast's Brian Krassenstein, on April 24, tweeted, "Obama 2028. Because the Constitution no longer matters."
When the MAGA account @BigSkyREAuction posted, "Trump 2028 Nobody Beats Trump! Nobody!!," @ObamaFor2028 responded, "I know 1 guy who can."
