New evidence shows Trump’s Campaign 'directly orchestrated' fake elector plot. Surprised?
— Trump's foreign cash scandal is, to paraphrase Bernie, “YUGE!” Trump was trash-talking China, so the Chinese embassy and one of the country’s largest banks (that helps North Korea evade US sanctions) shoveled $5.5 million into Trump’s corporate checking accounts; within months he hopped on a plane, went to China, and told Chinese dictator Xi “my feeling toward you is an incredibly warm one.”
Trump was trash-talking Qatar, calling them a “funder of terrorism,” so as Mary Trump notes in her excellent newsletter, “[I]n April of 2018, the Qatari Permanent Mission to the United Nations bought a fourth apartment at Trump World Tower for $6.5 million, and then in the SAME MONTH, Donald welcomed its monarch to the Oval Office and labeled Qatar as a partner in the “stopping the funding of terrorism.”
Trump was ignoring Kuwait’s desire to buy an air-force-worth of F18 Hornet fighter jets, so they moved their Christmas Party to his DC hotel, putting hundreds of thousands of dollars in his pocket; he promptly approved the sale.
Saudi Arabia was reeling under international condemnation for murdering and dismembering Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi, so they gave Trump well over a half-million dollars cash; he immediately began selling them billions of dollars worth of high-tech weapons without congressional authorization.
And this is just the tip of the iceberg, the little bit that Democrats on the House Oversight Committee were able to discover before Republicans took control of the House and put Trump toady James Comer in charge of the committee; Comer immediately ended the investigations into the Trump Crime Family and redirected their efforts to investigating Hunter Biden. Bribery is a crime, as is a president taking “gifts” or “emoluments” from foreign countries. Trump should be in prison.

— Breaking News: New evidence shows Trump’s campaign “directly orchestrated” the criminal fake elector plot to steal the White House in 2020. The Detroit News is reporting on investigations conducted by the State of Michigan that have found direct evidence that the “fake elector” plot to steal the 2020 election from Joe Biden (who won by 7 million votes) was organized and orchestrated by the Trump campaign itself. Up to this point, the story from the Trump people had been that it was “rogue” operation done by overly enthusiastic independent players. Not so, says the News:
“The documents, which have become part of Attorney General Dana Nessel’s ongoing investigation into the slate of false electors, showed that Trump’s campaign staff helped coordinate the Republicans’ gathering inside state party headquarters on Dec. 14, 2020. Then, Trump’s team prepared the official mailing of the false certificate to Vice President Mike Pence and the National Archives, according to the emails.”
This is another example of the nakedly criminal behavior of Trump and the people running his campaign: where the hell is the FBI?
— A new report says Trump killed 17,000 Americans by pushing his fake covid cures. Seeing the economy tank during an election year, Trump was frantically trying to get people to go back to work in 2020. The problem was a deadly Covid pandemic — and the vaccines had not yet been developed. So, he lied to the American people, telling us that hydroxychloroquin was a “miracle” cure for the disease, telling them to get back to work and to shopping because they could treat themselves if they got sick. Not only was the medication useless for Covid; because it suppresses white blood
cells — the front line of our immune system — taking the drug when you have Covid increases your chance of dying by 11 percent. Researchers estimate that led to around 17,000 completely unnecessary deaths among gullible people who believed Trump’s lies. Forget prison for this one: he should burn in hell.
— Crazy Alert! Florida’s crackpot surgeon general calls Covid vaccines “the anti-Christ.” Really!? Ron DeSantis, in his efforts to out-Trump Trump, put a crackpot in charge of his state’s public health. The result has been that Florida has one of the highest Covid death rates in the country (404 people per 100,000, compared with Vermont at 149 per 100,000). Now Dr. Ladapo has gone on Steve Bannon’s podcast to trash-talk Covid vaccines to gullible Republicans, saying, “[H]onestly, they’re they’re the anti-Christ of all products.” Whenever a politician or one of their toadies says “honestly,” run, don’t walk, in the other direction. The tragedy here is that blood-soaked DeSantis and the MAGA faction of his state’s leadership will, as a result of this comment, be responsible for even more tragic and unnecessary deaths, particularly as America slides into the post-holiday Covid surge that’s expected to infect as many as a third of all of us by the end of this month.
— Florida is set to follow Ohio and secure abortion rights, although Republicans are playing dirty. Grass-roots citizens groups in Florida have collected enough signatures to get a ballot measure overturning DeSantis’ abortion ban. Republicans tried multiple strategies to block their efforts, including outlawing paid signature-gatherers, putting draconian time limits on the process, and banning out-of-state funding for any such efforts. Since the citizens of the state have gotten their signatures anyway, DeSantis’ goons are now appealing to the Florida Supreme Court (DeSantis appointed 5 of the 7 justices) to ban the ballot measure. Keep an eye on this one.
— Help California close the money loophole! When five corrupt and on-the-take Republicans on the US Supreme Court ruled in Citizens United that foreign corporations could “invest” (my word, not theirs) in US elections, they blew open the doors of the American political system to international corruption and the disintegration of our democracy. Now a group of California legislators are trying to right that wrong by passing a law they call “The Get Foreign Money Out of California Elections Act.” They need 54 sponsors to get it into and through the California Assembly, but so far only have 50. If you live in California (or know anybody who does) let your state Assembly-person know they should co-sponsor and vote for this vital piece of legislation that could be the beginning of a national trend to take back our republic.
— Geeky science! Hearing aids can extend your life! Scientists looked at around 10,000 people with mild to moderate hearing loss and found that those who used hearing aids on a daily basis had a roughly 25% lower chance of dying early compared with those who didn’t. Previous studies have shown that using hearing aids can ward off dementia, cutting its risk by more than 50%. If you’re hard of hearing, take this seriously!
