Harris mocks 'Mr. Anytime, anywhere, anyplace' Trump over debate demand: 'Running scared' to Fox News

Vice President Kamala Harris on Saturday responded to Donald Trump’s challenge for a Fox News debate on Sept. 4 after the former president backed out of a scheduled ABC News debate on Sept. 10.
Trump last month released a statement that appeared to walk back his commitment to attend the Sept. 10 debate moderated by ABC News.
"There is a strong sense by many in the Democrat Party - namely Barack Hussein Obama - that Kamala Harris is a Marxist fraud who cannot beat President Trump, and they are still holding out for someone 'better.' Therefore, it would be inappropriate to schedule things with Harris because Democrats very well could still change their minds," Trump's July statement said.

Friday, the former president took to Truth Social to demand a Fox News-moderated debate with Harris instead.
"I have agreed with FoxNews to debate Kamala Harris on Wednesday, September 4th," Trump wrote. “The Debate was previously scheduled against Sleepy Joe Biden on ABC, but has been terminated in that Biden will no longer be a participant, and I am in litigation against ABC Network and George Slopadopoulos, thereby creating a conflict of interest."
NBC News reporter Jake Taylor on Saturday posted the Harris campaign’s response to Trump’s Fox News debate demand.
“Donald Trump is running scared and trying to back out of the debate he already agreed to and running straight to Fox News to bail him out,” the campaign said.

“We’re happy to discuss further debates after the one both campaigns have already agreed to,’” the statement added. “Mr. Anytime, anywhere, anyplace should have no problem with that unless he’s too scared to show up on the 10th.”
