Moms Demand Action director decries 'absolutely outrageous' Republican permitless carry laws

Moms Demand Action Executive Director Ferrell Zabala joined MSNBC host Katie Phang's show on Sunday and tore into Republican-led states that are enacting laws that allow residents to carry firearms in public without permits or licenses.
"This is absolutely outrageous," Zabala began.
"What they are promoting is a 'guns everywhere' culture," Zabala opined. "And we are gonna continue to push back on this. We have our Moms Demand Action volunteers and survivors across our country, all 50 states, plus the District of Columbia. And every day we're getting up to make sure that we are pushing for the laws that are gonna keep our community safe, and also trying to figure out how we're breaking through this culture of guns in the country, frankly."

Zabala noted that "while this is really disturbing, I will tell you there's many examples of us doing this across the country, from Minnesota to Maryland, to Illinois to Colorado, and the list goes on and we're gonna continue to push" back against legislation that costs lives.
"And again, elections have consequences," Zabala added. "So remember this when you go to the ballot box, that the folks that you're gonna vote in are the ones that are here to protect our lives. And if they're gonna be gutting gun laws, that's not doing what we want, which is keeping our community safe."
