Questions swirl as report reveals Melania Trump’s 'human'-laden statement may have AI 'fingerprints'

Former First Lady Melania Trump has kept a relatively low profile during the 2024 presidential race. But a statement from her was issued after Donald Trump survived an assassination attempt at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania on Saturday, July 13.
The Daily Beast's Nell Scovell reports, however, that there signs are signs the statement was written via artificial intelligence.
The statement read, "Political concepts are simple when compared to us, human beings."

Scovell notes that although Melania Trump is from Slovenia and English is not her native language, there is a high-tech "awkwardness to her phrasing that raises some questions." That includes her use of the word "human," which, according to Scovell, has AI's "fingerprints."
"A machine would do that," Scovell explains. "In fact, The Daily Beast started to wonder if perhaps Trump had turned to ChatGPT 4.0 for assistance in crafting a statement."
Scovell adds, "Why not? Lots of humans do it. And if she did, who would ever learn her secret? Except ChatGPT is pretty chatty."
