Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) on Monday made her stance against vaccines clear — in opposition to Donald Trump's HHS Secretary pick, Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

CNN's Manu Raju reported via x X: "Lisa Murkowski, key swing vote, on RFK Jr saying today he supports keeping the polio vaccine. “But then I guess it begs the question, is it just that one vaccine or kind of where is it coming from more broadly? So, those are the conversations that I think are important for me to have with him, because I do think that vaccines save lives,” she said, per @tedbarrettcnn."

Kennedy is known to be against vaccines, and has even said that vaccines cause autism.

Reuters reported, according to Senator Markwayne Mullin (R-OK), "Kennedy said the polio vaccine is different because it was one of the first vaccines to be developed. He quoted Kennedy as suggesting that children receive too many shots and saying, the question is "why are we giving our kids 72 shots now?

Furthermore, the president-elect " has said he could end some childhood vaccinations if he thinks they are dangerous. 'It could if I think it's dangerous, if I think they are not beneficial, but I don't think it's going to be very controversial in the end," he told Time magazine in an interview published last weeks.'"
