MTG’s bitter rivalry with Lauren Boebert is only growing 'nastier'

In theory, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Georgia) and Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colorado) should be close allies. Both are staunch Donald Trump loyalists, both are prominent figures in the far-right MAGA movement, both promote Christian nationalism, and both are known for their crude, in-your-face theatrics.

But Greene and Boebert, once on friendly terms, have become bitter rivals.

In a report published on November 10, the Daily Beast's Zachary Petrizzo emphasizes that the rivalry between the MAGA congresswomen is only growing meaner and "nastier."

"After Rep. Lauren Boebert helped get Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene kicked out of the House Freedom Caucus over the summer," Petrizzo explains, "Greene has been on a payback mission against her former friend-turned-nemesis."

Greene has repeatedly described Boebert as a "whore."

A Republican lawmaker, presumably interviewed on condition of anonymity, told the Beast, "Calling her a whore, that's not new. She's been doing that for a while."

Other lawmakers interviewed by the Beast allege that Greene slammed Boebert during a conversation with Trump. One of the sources of animosity between the MAGA congresswomen is Greene's alliance with former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-California), who Boebert has been critical of.

Republicans quoted anonymously by the Beast criticized the Greene/Boebert feud as silly, high school-like behavior.

One of them said of Greene, "It's ridiculous and dumb, doesn't make any sense. If this is what you’re holding onto, you limit yourself."
