Spat between Boebert and Greene so volatile 'a fistfight could break out': report

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Georgia) and Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colorado) seem like they should be close allies. Both are far-right conspiracy theorists and staunch Donald Trump loyalists who represent the MAGA wing of their party.

But there has been considerable animosity between Greene and Boebert — animosity that, according to the Daily Beast's Zachary Petrizzo, is even worse than what is being reported.

The far-right House Freedom Caucus recently voted to kick Greene out after she described Boebert as a "little b****" on the House floor. Some of the tensions between the MAGA congresswomen have to do with Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-California). While Greene has been a McCarthy ally, Boebert openly opposed making him House speaker.

Rep. Tim Burchett (R-Tennessee) told the Beast, "I am friends with both of them. It's entertaining to think that a fistfight could break out at any movement. I kind of dig that."

Rep. Paul Gosar (R-Arizona) compared the Greene/Boebert rivalry to a "two-way sword," telling the Beast, "I just think that whatever is there, could be utilized both ways…. People make decisions that they have to work and live by, and you kind of hate being in their shoes."

Petrizzo notes that Greene and Boebert's "spat on the House floor" stemmed from their differences over "competing articles of impeachment" against President Joe Biden.

Greene told Boebert, "I've donated to you. I've defended you. But you've been nothing but a little bitch to me. And you copied my articles of impeachment after I asked you to co-sponsor them."

But when the Daily Beast asked Greene about her rivalry with Boebert, the Georgia congresswoman refused to discuss it.

Greene told the Beast, "Dude, do you do anything besides report on complete drama and bullshit? No, I'm serious."
