'Mid-tier MAGA influencers' brawl in 'random gravel lot' during right-wing convention

Convention officials are still dealing with the consequences of two mid-tier MAGA influencers tussling in a gravel lot near one of Charlie Kirk’s Turning Point USA conventions.
“Sometimes, things get a little crazy at Charlie Kirk’s turning point USA convention,” recounts Bulwark journalist Will Sommer, who laid out the details of a scrum that led to at least one participant being banned from a convention known for MAGA drama including a fight over an engagement ring and other antics.
Bryson Gray is a Christian conservative rapper with songs like “Trump Is Your President” and “Gun Totin’ Bible Thumper. Zack Bonfilio is a MAGA personality known as “Misfit Patriot,” known for adopting a stance against misogynist Andrew Tate in MAGA circles.

Sommer said Bonfilio approached Gray in a hotel lobby at the December TPUSA convention, angry that Gray had called a gay friend of Bonfilio’s an “abomination.”
“Gray later recalled that he stood by his words, telling Bonfilio, ‘Biblically, he is an abomination, it’s just that simple,’” says Sommer.
The encounter ended with Bonfilio slapping Gray and running away. Sommer says Gray then responded with a threat to press charges for assault if Bonfilio didn’t agree to a proper fight.
Bonfilio agreed, and the two met at a random gravel lot, according to video.

“At first, there’s a lot of dancing around and circling each other,” said Sommer. “But the brawl turns against Bonfilio when, in a moment of hubris, he tries to flip Gray over, pro-wrestling style. Instead, Bonfilio slips on the gravel and bangs his own head. Gray then crouches over the stricken Misfit Patriot and starts whaling on him.”
“[Gray] later claimed in a video that he pulled most of his punches to avoid injuring Bonfilio so badly that he might risk a prison term — before Bonfilio yanks on Gray’s leg and trips him. That is apparently enough for Gray, who decides to get out while he can plausibly declare victory,” Sommer said.
Gray “speed-limp[s]” away from Bonfilio, according to Sommer, ending the fight.
The two have since traded barbs online, and Sommer said convention officials booted Gray from future conventions over the fight. Sommer also reports Gray claiming TPUSA is no longer safe for Christians.
