President Donald Trump is often described as an "isolationist" and a major departure from the hawkish old-school GOP conservatism of President Ronald Reagan and Arizona Sens. Barry Goldwater and John McCain. Yet Trump, since returning to the White House on January 20, often sounds imperialistic when talking about Greenland and the Panama Canal. And he has proposed military invention in Gaza, which he believes could be turned into a major resort area.

Trump's Gaza ambitions were mocked by late-night television hosts Seth Meyers and Jimmy Kimmel, both of whom slammed Trump on both foreign and domestic policy.

Meyers, on "Late Night With Seth Meyers," told CNN, "We still don't have a plan for lowering eggs prices, but we do have a plan for building hotels in Gaza…. This is what Trump does. We've seen it for years. It’s nothing new. He's hoping voters will pay attention to his plans for Gaza and Greenland, and ignore what he's doing to the rest of the government."

Meyers was vehemently critical of the Trump Administration's efforts to "eliminate" the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), which he described as "the agency that stops companies from ripping you off."

Meanwhile, on "Jimmy Kimmel Live," Kimmel told viewers, "Blob the Builder is still going all in on his ridiculous and potentially disastrous plan to force nearly 2 million Palestinians who live in Gaza to go live somewhere else. There seems to be no thought put into this plan outside of just what he says at the press conference."

Kimmel also ridiculed Trump for banning an Associated Press (AP) reporter from White House press conferences for not referring to the Gulf of Mexico as the Gulf of America.

The "Jimmy Kimmel Live" host joked, "They're going to keep kicking journalists out until all they have left are Fox, Newsmax, OAN, OnlyFans and Golf Digest."
