Kimberly Guilfoyle, ex-advisor to former President Donald Trump, and ex-wife of California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) doesn't believe Florida Governor Ron DeSantis stands a chance against the former MAGA president.

The longtime GOP host expressed her thoughts — and did not mince words — during a Saturday interview with Newsmax.

Former GOP prosecutor Ron Filipkowski shared a clip of Guilfoyles' rant via Twitter, writing, "Guilfoyle to Desantis: 'You are going to get hurt. And damaged. Badly. By the time Trump is done .. you're gonna end up in the junkyard. You're not gonna be in good shape for 2028. That's just a fact.'"

She continued, "It's not time to go into Toys R Us, strap off the training wheels and take a spin around the aisles and see if it works out."

Guilfoyle's comments come after Trump slammed the governor during an interview earlier this week, when Universal News Forever reporter Kyle Mazza asked the MAGA hopeful, "Are you angry, Mr. President, that Ron DeSantis entered the race?"

Trump replied, "No, I think he's a very disloyal person because he was dead. He was looking for jobs and uh, I endorsed him and he went up many points. He was thirty points down at least, maybe more than that. He was dead. So I think he's very disloyal, but I don't care."

Regarding where DeSantis currently stands with GOP voters, NPR reports:

He is decidedly an underdog to former President Donald Trump in all recent polls. Yet he is just as clearly the leading alternative to Trump, should Republicans find they need one – or decide they want one.

Additionally, NPR notes, "But being clearly the party's Plan B right now might not be good news for DeSantis. It also makes him Target A for Trump and for all the other candidates."
