Reporters at The Independent noticed White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt appears to watch ‘Comedy Central.’
‘Daily Show’ host Jon Stewart railed Leavitt Monday night over her emblematic cross, which Stewart said “The more she lies, the bigger her cross gets. … It’s like some sort weird Pinocchio cross.”
The next day, The Independent reports Leavitt appeared for a Tuesday briefing in a navy blazer, but without her signature jewelry.

Stewart’s comment on Leavitt was merely a short tie-in to another segment about Trump’s willingness to post conspiracy theories. It came as a follow-up to an earlier expose on FBI second-in-command Dan Bongino, with Sewart saying Leavitt, unlike Bongino, was likely to be “the only one” who will be able to leave the administration “unscathed … Because I don’t think that she has any principles in there left to die.” He then followed his claim with a series of Leavitt’s more disputed statements.
“President Trump is truly the most transparent and acceptable president in American history…”
“We have truth on our side at this White House…”
“I think everybody, the American public believes it’s absurd for anyone to insinuate that this president is profiting off the presidency. … It’s ridiculous that anyone in this room would think he’s doing anything for his own benefit…”

“That’s all he’s doing!” wailed Stewart. “… I’m not even upset with this lady. Because just rolling with the punches is clearly the only strategy for happiness when you’re working for Trump.”
“Trump’s very open secret has always been: He doesn’t believe in or care about any policy issue at all,” Stewart added. “He wants attention, he wants his ego stroked, and he wants money. He wants f---wads and f---wads of money. Remember his 90 deals in 90 days? He only made those for his family. Meanwhile, the world he said he was going it fix is burning.”
