Speaking with podcaster Theo Von on Thursday, Joe Rogan revealed his unvarnished thoughts on the situation in Iran, saying, “I can’t believe we went to this war. When we started bombing Iran I was like, this can’t be true.”

“And what about Lebanon now?” Von replied in an alarmed tone. “Just f-cking stop it. What do you need?”

“Supposedly,” Rogan noted, “they’re trying to stop the terrorists.”

“That’s crazy though if you’re the f-cking terrorists,” said Von. “If you wanna stop them, stand in front of the f-cking mirror.”

Both Rogan and Von — who are among the “podcast bros” some have credited with lending President Donald Trump the final endorsements he needed to win the 2024 election — have become increasingly critical of Trump and his supporters.

In recent months, Rogan has expressed dismay over the actions of ICE, saying, “Are we really going to be the Gestapo? ‘Where’s your papers?’ Is that what we’ve come to?” He’s also questioned Trump’s handling of the Epstein files, and declared that the MAGA movement is full of “a bunch of dorks” and “weird, f-cking uninteresting, unintelligent people.” Von, too, has been angered by mass deportations and the Epstein debacle.

Their discussion came the day after Trump delivered a national address in which he offered a vague 2-3 week timeline for the war’s end and threatened to bomb Iran “back to the Stone Age.” As experts have noted, Trump’s rant suggested that the war is “not ending any time soon and there will be no deescalation of military force.”

“No one's getting in trouble for the Epstein files,” said Rogan on Thursday. “One thing leaders have used to cover up problems at home is a f-cking war. Not saying that that’s why they bombed Iran, but that would be a way to do it. If you’re that psychotic, and you were thinking about doing it anyway, you might be able to justify it.”

“I'm sick of rich people not putting their f-cking kids over in these wars,” said Von.
